It will crash if you keep the USB in if it is trying to restart. EDIT: sorry, I didnt saw the comment saying that the setup is not even copying the files. Nevermind. 2 Share Report Save level 1 11 months ago Have you used diskpart s clean functionality 2 Share Report Save level 2 Original Poster 11 months ago Yes. Share Report Save Continue this thread level 1 11 months ago May be a silly question, but did you boot from the USB or did you try to start the installation from within Windows and just click on the setup file Also, after it does go through the installation steps make sure you remove the USB after the system starts to reboot. Share Report Save level 2 Original Poster 11 months ago I boot from the USB. It says Copying Windows files, shows 0 progress then immediately shows me the error message. Share Report Save Continue this thread level 1 11 months ago Try this 1 Share Report Save level 1 11 months ago I actually had a problem with my boot stick, dont know if it was the same error, but formatting the USB-Stick to FAT32 before installing the windows installation tool on it, fixed it for me. If the problem still occurs you could try a BiOS flash with the most recent version of it, if its an issue with the USB-Ports it could fix it. Maybe you do have another hard disk in the pc on which you could try the install. If its works on the secondary disk, its possibly a ssd failure. Try putting it in another M.2 Slot if the mobo has one, or simply reseat the NvME. If it doesnt work on the second hard drive either, I dont have a clue, try contacting Microsoft could help 1 Share Report Save level 1 Original Poster 11 months ago OMG, Windows is so stupid. I started by simplifying my system I removed all video cards, which didnt work. I then proceeded to remove all NVME drives from my system (except the one I was going to install on). I then removed a bootable UEFI USB stick I had plugged in and that took care of it. How ridiculous. Long story short, make sure you dont have any other UEFI bootable devices connected to your computer when trying to install Windows.
